     According to 2015 Social Media Marketing Industry Report that is published by Social Media Examiner, the top two benefits of social media are increased exposure and increased traffic.  Twitter is the number 2 platform used by marketers at 79% of marketers using. This is also the number 2 platform used by marketers with 1-5 years marketing experience.  Sixty-six percent of marketers plan to increase their marketing time on Twitter. Fifty-eight percent of marketers surveyed voiced the need to learn more about Twitter. Thirty-one percent voiced that they wanted to increase their use of Twitter ads.   

            According to The State of Social Marketing 2015 report, there are 302,000,000 active users that log into Twitter each month.  Ninety-eight percent of the Top 100 Global Brands are present on Twitter.  There are 500 million tweets per day. Periscope has increased the value of the network as well.  Many tune into Twitter first to find out about current events.
