CBD oil and a review of its uses

This is a review of an article in the Huffington Post discussing some of the uses of CBD oil.
Cannabidiol or CBD oil is available in supplement form and has been used for many disorders and  is legal in all 50 states. Two of the cannabinoids that are widely used for their medicinal values are TCH and CBD.  THC is the compound that provides the “high” from marijuana. CBD has no high associated with its use.  This compound has anti-anxiety, calming, anti-psychotic,  pain reducing, and anti-inflammatory effects .  Our bodies produce their own cannabinoids in what is the known as the endocannabinoid system.
Benefits of CBD
CBD has been shown to reduce anxiety and improve insomnia for people who suffer from chronic pain. In smaller doses, it has been proven to increase alertness. CBD helps reduce REM behavior disorder in people with Parkinson’s disease and   has been used to improve REM sleep abnormalities in people with PTSD.  CBD has been shown to help with depression and anxiety with its interactions with the serotonin receptors in the brain. The antipsychotic effects has been  shown to help in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
CBD is used in the treatment of pain in many forms such as chronic, headaches migraines, arthritis and multiple sclerosis.   CBD has shown amazing results in the use of epilepsy. CBD has also shown to be useful in treating substance abuse in people addicted to opioids, amphetamines and cocaine.  CBD has also been used to help the brain heal from injury and has shown to reduce damage from stroke and other injuries. CBD  also  has been shown to be helpful in Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis. CBD has been shown to be effective for patients suffering for cancer in reducing pain, nausea, and appetite stimulation.
CBD has sometimes been used in conjunction with THC, CBD can counteract the “high” associated with THC.
