Social media quick facts to increase engagement.
Facebook provides 6 ways to launch updates: status, video, links, event, photo and check in. About 1500 possible stories could appear on a news feed on average, only 20% actually make it.  Images on FB have 93% higher engagement.  Recommended pixel size should be 1200X1200. Post with over 80 words have 2X as much engagement.  Try different punctuation,  post with hashtags have 60% more interaction, exclamation points have 2.7% more interactions, post that ask questions have 23% higher engagement.  Post published between 5pm-1am see 11% more interactions than during the day, and 29% more than those published before working hours of 1am-8am. Post published on Sunday get 25% more likes and shares than those published Wednesday.

     There are 4 ways to launch updates: status, link, photo, video. 3 million companies have LinkedIn company pages. 87% of users trust LinkedIn as a source of info that affects decision making.  Link titles should be less than 70 characters. Link descriptions should be less than 250 words.  Including a link with your post drives engagement by 200%.  Sharing images result in 98% higher comment rate. Linking to you-tube videos result in 75% higher share rate. Publish once a week day. LinkedIN is 277% more effective for lead generation than FB and twitter.
